Business Analyst
This position will develop and/or maintain system documentation including business requirements, and project process documentation, training plans, test plans, quality assurance and contingency operations plans, and reports. This individual will be expected to provide expertise and hands-on participation in the following activities:
• Elicit business system requirements using one or more of the following methods: analyze current processes, interview users, conduct JAD sessions or group meetings, review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts.
• Analyze and document business processes (both ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ processes) utilizing business process mapping tools to effectively document the processes for the customer.
• Develop or maintain system requirements in detailed, clear and well organized functional documents (business requirements
• Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests. Coordinate user acceptance testing.by tracking and managing end user testing efforts to ensure that the test environments are stable, the users have access to the environments, code is appropriately loaded and the test cases are applicable to the tests being conducted.
• Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required. Closely track those defects that will need to be carried over to another release/upgrade.
• Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation (e.g., missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during the testing process.
• Development or revision of existing user guides, quick reference guides and/or other help files for the end user community
Requested Qualifications
• Minimum of 60 months experience eliciting/extracting detailed business requirements from customer/project stakeholders and system artifacts.
• Minimum of 60 months experience developing/maintaining test plans and detailed test cases, executing those tests, validating test results, and logging/tracking related defects.
• Minimum of 60 months experience documenting and managing business requirements.
Helpdesk Specialist
Day to day tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Assess, diagnose and resolve a wide variety of computer issues both hardware and software related.
• Perform hardware repairs on PCs and laptops when necessary, replace parts as needed.
• Install lab specific client and instrumental software; apply configuration parameters to ensure functionality for Biological Sciences staff.
• Review and determine solutions to staff software needs and problems.
• Assist users with backing up data and the migration to new hardware.
• Maintain accurate hardware asset information.
• Provide end user training in general computer use and specific software platforms.
• Research new technologies.
• Conduct end user needs assessments for new technology.

Requested Qualifications

Network Specialist
Day to day tasks to be performed by the Consultant:
• Professionally and courteously provide 2nd and 3rd level support to offices on Long Island — servicing approximately 400 users.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support on Citrix and Windows devices.
• Use HEAT to provide 2nd and 3rd level support for approximately 400 users; monitor work queues,
• update and close tickets.
• Accurately document the details of the user request or issue, document the diagnostic steps
• performed when troubleshooting and assist the user with resolution.
• Use remote control to assist users when needed and obtain a base knowledge in the core products
• supported by NYS HCR.
• Provide mobile device support (blackberries, laptops, wireless cards, mifis)
• Support HP, Xerox, OCI printers in a network environment including multi-function printers.
• Assist staff with technical support of Citrix thin clients, Windows laptops, peripherals and related
• technology.
• Travel between ten sites on Long Island to provide support of issues that cannot be resolved

Requested Qualifications

Oracle Technical Architect
Day to day tasks to be performed by the Consultant:
• Administration of Oracle WebLogic Servers including deployment of Java applications using Administration Console and command-line and scripting tools like WLST
• Install, upgrade, configure and manage WebLogic Administrative and Managed Servers
• Providing Maintenance & Support for WebLogic Servers
• Set up a cluster of servers and distribute applications and resources to the cluster.
• Creating and Configuring Domains
• Performing Change Management in WebLogic Server environment
• Configuring Node Managers
• Responsible for retrieving and analyzing logs to troubleshoot issues
• Authoring deployment plans

Requested Qualifications

Project Manager
• This position will work directly with Department senior executive and executive staff in the implementation of multi-faceted, high visibility projects. Daily activities will include but not be limited to:
• Defining and managing project scope, schedule, risk and budget
• Managing project teams in the development of business cases, requirements gathering, business and technical documentation, testing and deployment planning, risk mitigation strategies and project status reporting
• Acting as manager to a staff oriented in matrix management techniques, including negotiating with senior management on resource allocations, project responsibilities and tasking as well as mentoring and training resources as necessary
• Communicating project status to team members as well as management including project status presentations to executives both inside and outside the Agency
• Functioning as a facilitator to clarify business and technical requirements which cross project team boundaries through the development and management of stakeholder analyses and management plans
• Identifying project risks and dependencies and providing implementation alternatives to mitigate project risk related to scope, schedule and budget
• Implementation and adherence to change control standards as appropriate for the Public Safety Cluster and the agency

Requested Qualifications
• Bachelor level or higher degree with concentration in Information Technology or Project Management, or national certification in Project Management
• Minimum of 84 months experience with multi entity project teams in the development and successful implementation of multi-million dollar, multi-year enterprise development projects. Experience should include a variety of application development, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) implementation and technical infrastructure (hardware and software) projects.
• Minimum of 84 months experience implementing projects utilizing industry standard system life cycle methodologies including iterative project planning, design, development and management of project teams which utilize business analysts and testers.
• Minimum of 60 months experience implementing system integration strategies spanning multiple entities, including risk mitigation strategies associated with ensuring implementation success, dissecting deliverables into manageable risk averse phases, and involving both Agency and Vendor teams across highly available and scalable multi-tier applications.
• Minimum of 60 months demonstrated effective team building, facilitation and presentation skills, and the ability to work and communicate with diverse groups.
.NET Programmer
Development and maintenance work required to support .Net applications Troubleshoot production issues within the .Net applications and core technologies Strong knowledge of our core technology stack including n-tiered .Net development, TFS, Unisys open TI, FileNet Panagon Images Services, FileNet P8, FileNet API, Entity objects, FTP, web services, LDAP, Netegrity Siteminder, Windows servers administration, SQL and Oracle. Provide mentoring and guidance to our lower level .Net development staff. Provide technical documentation, solution prototypes, conduct demonstrations of work in progress and completed work to business subject matter experts and other technical staff as requested/required.
Requested Qualifications
